After two years of launching the Original Mi4 and it’s upgradations in the following years like the Mi4i, Mi4s, Mi4c. Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Next True Flagship Device in India.
Xiaomi launched the Mi 5 in India Yesterday at a launch event in Delhi. The smartphone was first unveiled at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) in Barcelona last month, and was available in China from last month and now it will be available online in Inida, starting April 6.
The Mi 5 will come equipped with a 5.15-inch full HD (1920×1080) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 428ppi. It features a quad-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820 chipset, paired with 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 530 GPU.
The Mi 5 featuers a 16MP f/2.0 rear camera with phase detection autofocus, 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and dual-LED flash, as well as a 4MP front-facing camera. It also sports a fingerprint scanner, Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 3D Glass back, and supports Dual LTE nano-SIM, and NFC. The Mi5 is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The smartphone runs on MIUI 7.0 based on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and will be available in Black, White, and Champagne Gold.
The amazing thing here is that the Mi5 is the first phone to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor,with a Dual-core 1.8 GHz Kryo processor and dual-core 1.4 GHz Kryo CPU.
The Mi 5 will be available on Xiaomi’s website from April 6. And it is priced at 24,999 for the 32GB/3GB RAM variant.
