Turn Your Smartphone Into A Linux mobile:
Maru packs a complete desktop experience on your smartphone.Your phone runs independently of your desktop so you can take a call and work on your big screen at the same time. Personal computing couldn’t be simpler. For those that haven’t heard yet, MaruOS is a new open-source project that seeks to provide users with a Debian-based desktop or a linux mobile phone environment when connecting your Android smart-phone to an external display.
There have been a number of attempts to do this over the years, but the developers of Maru OS think that now is the ripe time to come out with this given the level of computing power current chipsets and hardware are giving smartphone users. Remix OS is another one of these minimalist projects, but Maru OS is unique in that it claims to only ever need your smartphone as your essential hardware.
At this moment, Maru OS says that you can test out the software using a Nexus 5 smartphone, as that is where the beta version is compatible at the moment.Check out the http://maruos.com for more info.
