We all have know to have Opera Browser which was known to be consume less data giving a speedy experience isn’t it? But now the Browser moves ahead by even remapping the UI. The Company also claims that this the interface which every browser needs.. Team Opera Browser!
Typical Browser Wars:
We are always thinking about Chrome v/s Edge on Windows 10. What if I tell you that Opera is trying to make an effort to get into the browser games like Mozilla did in the past. Yes, thats what their official blog says- Opera is Reborn. Has it really reborn?? They have said that they have changed the UI. They also claim that it is the UI every Future Browser needs.
The New Browser allows you to connect with your social accounts such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram and you can connect it and browse the web as well as chat with your friends by using them via the side bar. Practically it looks neat, but its a personal preference about what one feels about it. The browser comes with Black and Light Theme. It also comes with Dozens of Wallpapers for customization along with the traditional speed dial option. At the same time they have also changed the icons for various tasks.
Additionally, the browser also comes built-in with an add blocker which can block ads from several sites and you can tweak the settings of the Ad-Blocker from the Settings Option. Moreover, Opera also claims that as most GPUs decode videos efficiently the videos playing would be decoded by the GPU on Windows. It also boasts a Battery Saver features. This Saver claim to save Battery while you are browsing the Web
Most graphics processing units (GPUs) can decode videos highly efficiently. With this release, we will send even more videos to the GPU for decoding on Windows. This will allow for significantly higher frame rates, higher resolutions, and lower battery usage for these videos.
So it clearly looks that Opera is trying good enough to try to enter the Browser Wars, not soon but later. The features looks good enough on paper. But we still need to see how it performs in comparison with the other browser and also the battery consumption. In a world, where we all are used to the convenience of synchronization of Data, History and other Stuff with Google Chrome, its pretty hard for anyone to change this ease of use we have with Google. Though we can try it as something as an secondary browser for doing some causal stuff where we don’t want the things to be synced up with everything.
What do you think about Reborn Opera? Do you think it would held up against the other browsers? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
