Facebook rolled out “Reactions”(an extension of the “Like” button) worldwide on Wednesday after a year of development, to allow users to express sadness, wow, anger, love and laughter and posts will now show the mix of reactions they’ve received. And while there’s no “dislike” buttons as some users have long requested, Facebook says that the new mix of reactions has proven popular with users during testing.
Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in September the company is thinking of adding a “dislike” button but this idea was dropped because that can increase cyber bullying and negativity on the site.
Then in October, the company said it would expand its signature “Like” button with various reactions. And here is the result.
But even though new reactions update is here, the Like button is same. When you scroll through your feed, it’s still the same Like button you see on every post ,the reactions in android and ios versions are hidden in that long press.Whereas On the desktop version of facebook, you can also access them by hovering over the Like button.
Reactions will be available for profiles.individual pages and business pages, meaning that if you want to dislike a bad advertisement in your News Feed, you can do so without any permission no one will interrupt you doing so.But Facebook says it will keep an eye on any misuse of reactions.
This update is there on ever version of facebook (android, web,Ios) so that you can react on every post from every platform.
