Facebook announced a new feature called profile videos, which will let users upload seven-second looping clips instead of a still profile picture. Now, you’ll be able to film a short seven second looping video clip that will play for anyone who visits your profile. Profile videos will let show a part of yourself you couldn’t before, and add a new dimension to your profile. This new feature will be available on both Ios and Android platforms.
This is biggest update for profiles since facebook first introduced profiles in 2004.Here’s how to change your profile picture to a looping video clip on the Facebook app.
1.Open the app and go into your profile
2.Tap on your profile picture and choose “Take a new profile video”
3.Record your seven seconds video with your phone’s camera.
4.In the editing section, you can shorten the video and turn audio on or off
5.Pick a thumbnail – this will show on the newsfeed and your profile if someone has video autoplay turned off – and save it.
Right now the update is only for some users, but the feature should be rolling out to all users soon.
